How we do it
We operate according to procedures, which does not mean that we lack creativity or a flexible approach towards the client. We implemented into our work the principles established by the ISO 9001:2009 , AQAP 2120:2009 and PN-EN 17100 standards. We in currently in the middle of implementing security measures so that they comply with the ISO 27001 standard that guarantees security of information.
We are open to new technologies and we decided to base our activity on the most recent software that supports the work of a translator – SDL Trados Studio Professional. This powerful tool allows us to manage whole translation projects and carry out quality checks and verification of texts translated. It has to be underlined that this software is not a machine translation tool, but a program that makes the whole translation preparation process easier and faster. This enables ongoing monitoring of progress, as well as support project manager in delegation of tasks and supervision of translators. The software enables creation of dedicated translation memories and glossaries in order to ensure compliance and coherence of translations, as well as guarantee that the terminology used by the translators corresponds to the established requirements of the market and individual clients.
In view of the fact that many clients still have only documents in the PDF file format, we invested in various software enabling conversion of such files to editable file formats or translation directly in the PDF file. We have a special team of people whose task is to prepare PDF files and convert them to a file format that can be edited and translated using CAT tools. Such software includes:
· Abbyy FineReader
· Abbyy PDF Transformer
· Nitro Pro 8
· Nuance PDF Converter
· Infix PDF Editor
By using the specialist ArCADia-INTELLICAD 7 and TranslateCAD software our translators can work on very complex and difficult technical drawings in DWG or DXF file format.
In order to facilitate, speed up and standardise the price estimation process we use the AnyCount Enterprise Edition program, which enables analysing all the files and formats and establishing accurately the number of words, characters, pages or lines that have to be translated. Thanks to that we know in detail what the size of every order is and we are able to provide clients with precise cost of translating a specific text.
As of the moment of commencing collaboration with a client we create a special translation memory dedicated to them exclusively. The aim of this actions is to make sure that all materials provided by that client are translated using the sentences that have been translated before. The use of dedicated translation memory can significantly shorten the time needed to do a given translation, as well as reduce the costs of translating a new file in case of presence of repetitions or matches with sentences that have already been translated. Having your own translation memory and using the services provided by the same translation company makes the memory grow and therefore the costs of translating different kinds of texts become lower. A dedicated translation memory ensures also high level of translation coherence and quality. The new texts will be similar to those translated in the past and the client will not have to waste time to adjust them to their specific needs and requirements.
OUR TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS
We work only with professional and experienced translators and interpreters. Our objective has never been finding the cheapest possible ways of having a translation done. Our motto, which we follow every day, is: “Quality in everything that we do”. The quality of our services depends to a great extent on the translators and interpreters with whom we collaborate.
